The University of Texas at Austin is part of the Student Experience in the Research University (SERU) Consortium, which includes peer universities such as the University of California System, the University of Michigan, the University of North Carolina, and the University of Virginia. The SERU survey is administered to gather information on student engagement, both curricular and co-curricular, and provides information to help administrators, faculty, staff, and student leaders improve the student experience. The survey has been administered to the undergraduate population over five times with the most recent administration being in 2021, and it is considered the university's most comprehensive assessment of the undergrad experience. The survey has been administered to the graduate population twice, once with the COVID-specific survey in 2020, and again in 2021 with the standard graduate survey.
- Next administrations:
- Graduate students - Spring 2023
- Undergraduate students - Spring 2024
